Giveaway - Spider-Man Remastered Approved

Hi /r/PS5! I was going through my games the other day when I came across the code for Spider-Man Remastered that came with Miles Morales! So I thought I would give it to someone who hasn't had a chance to experience how amazing this game really is! Pun intended!

All you have to do is comment on this post your favorite hero/villain is from any comic book universe and why!

I'll pick someone using a random number generator 24 hours after this post goes live!

Unfortunately, the code is for US residents only.

Edit: Thanks to everyone for entering! I loved reading everyone's stories about how they relate to their favorite heroes (or villains should I be concerned?)! Comic books mean a lot to me and my family, so this was a lot of fun!

Without further ado, the winner is a big fan of the Russian Mutant Arkady Rossovich)! Congrats to /u/LtFluffybear! I will be DM'ing you shortly!

I'll have to say Spider Man. I know, obvious choice, but I really like how he struggles to balance his life and his superhero persona. Thanks for the giveaway btw!

3

u/sGzombie Sep 28 '22

Favorite is The Flash, I’ve always enjoyed his costumes, his powers and just his character overall. I’m saddened the recent issues that Ezra Miller has brought to the movie, I’ve wanted to see a Flash movie for so long. But at the end of the day I still have the comics.

3

u/freshbeatsinc Sep 28 '22

Gonna go with Thor because Ragnarok was hilarious. Love and Thunder not so much...

3

u/LtFluffybear Sep 30 '22

Update, code was already used. Sent mods a message about it. Last thing he told me about 10 hours ago is that he would get back to me. Guess another scam giveaway.

2

u/treschikon Sep 28 '22

Doctor Octopus because he was scary as shit on Spider-Man PS1.

2

u/lospolloshermanos Sep 28 '22

I'd have to go with Dr. Strange. Intelligent, snarky, larger than life.

2

u/hellraiser29 Sep 28 '22

Wolverine, because he always fucked shit up; especially when he got triggered.

2

u/Hartia Sep 28 '22

Spider-man hands down. I hate spiders, but his goofiness is just too lovable.

2

u/Early-Size370 Sep 28 '22

Dr. Strange, baby! Thanks for doing this!

2

u/blackjaw5 Sep 28 '22

2

u/gtwicee Sep 28 '22

Homelander, I’ve never seen or read anything like The Boys. Absolutely wild universe.

2

u/TheForbiddenFool Sep 28 '22

Spawn, Todd McFarland got his real start with working on Spiderman as well.

2

u/Poetryisalive Sep 28 '22

Lately it’s actually Jace Fox (Batman) DC Comics

2

u/lemonpolice1 Sep 28 '22

My favorite superhero is Batman!

2

u/H9A7 Sep 28 '22

Loki's chaotic charm

2

u/McPearr Sep 28 '22

My favorite hero has to be Spider-Man; as someone who also hails from NYC, I always imagined I slinging myself across the entire city.

2

u/DickardRickard Sep 28 '22

Spider-Man, I grew up on his comics and the PS1 game. I always related to Peter Parker and even more so as an adult. Random number generator be good to me please!

2

u/catchinfeelings Sep 28 '22

Spider-man: funny, smart, caring, cool suit and powers and cause he's the superhero I grew up with I guess

And Nigma. Honestly I haven't read any batman comics but I found him funny in the arkham games and he was also one of the best characters in Gotham (the TV series)

Honorable mention to Poison Ivy

Anyways thanks!

2

u/Weary-Associate Sep 28 '22

Charles Xavier, though I have to admit it's mostly because I love Patrick Stewart's portrayal of him. Thumbs up for giveaway!

2

u/EdgarAllanKenpo Sep 28 '22

I always liked Rhino myself.

2

u/sheko741 Sep 28 '22

Iron man cause his suit looks good

2

u/M_I_C_H_L Sep 28 '22

Still Spider-Man. Because swinging around NY would be amazing!

2

u/GAMING-STUPID Sep 28 '22

The Joker from the dark knight. No reasoning needed

2

u/aloestre2000 Sep 28 '22

Batman is one of my favorite fictional characters in all types of media. I think I grew more attached to him the older I got. The sheer willpower, intelligence and complexity that he showed was admirable in may situations and his rogues gallery always brought so many interesting stories. It also helps greatly that other media like the Batman Arkham Series and the Dark Knight trilogy have cemented his place firmly in the modern culture.

2

u/ouzowuzo Sep 28 '22

Favorite character is daredevil. something so interesting about the lawyer/hero balancing act.

2

u/first_aid Sep 28 '22

Thanks for the giveaway

2

u/TylerSkims Sep 28 '22

You know, as I get older, life gets more serious so I'm going to have to say Deadpool. He's keeping me sane, ironically. And young at heart.

2

u/saga79 Sep 28 '22

Thanks for the opportunity! Favorite super-hero is, funny enough, Spider-man. When I was young he seemed the most relatable one!

2

u/sablesYt Sep 28 '22

My favorite hero is probably spiderman haha. Hes dope.

2

u/comengetitrmm Sep 28 '22

My favorite is probably Deadpool, but as far as any that I've played in a game with, Spidey would be close to the top!

2

u/MrSneaky64 Sep 28 '22

Batman, because he is human person at the maximum potential which always seemed so achievable as a kid.

2

u/trowlazer Sep 28 '22

Ant Man cause he’s funny and can be small

2

u/Gameaddict61492 Sep 28 '22

Carnage. He's just to cool....

2

u/oilfloatsinwater Sep 28 '22

I'd say Deadpool, cuz he is the funniest character marvel has.

2

u/RedHeeringas Sep 28 '22

Daredevil, i liked the movie.

2

u/Akafrost03 Sep 28 '22

Favorite hero is Spiderman and favorite villain venom

2

u/PouncePlease Sep 28 '22

Catwoman, because she's an occasional hero and relatable villain.

2

u/-Vae-Victis- Sep 28 '22

Really generous of you OP!

My fav villain is Doc Oc. Something about him has always been special, especially the design. Also, i remember he once took over spidey’s body, and realized spidey had always been pulling his punches!

2

u/Malakai_Black Sep 28 '22

Batman. Because I have great memories watching the animated series with my dad

2

u/vetgo Sep 28 '22

Oh I really want this. And my favorite is Spiderman he has had all the best movies games shows etc. Baan is close second.

2

u/XGuntank02X Sep 28 '22

Iron man - fucking love that guy

2

u/solblade89 Sep 28 '22

Batman for the win, but Spiderman is a close second.

2

u/Kvothestarkiller Sep 28 '22

My favourite hero is Danny Rand alias Iron fist. I've always loved martial artists and him being one of the best made him stand out, plus his powers while understated are pretty are cool , his vibe and his partnership with Luke Cage really make him stand out among heroes.

2

u/BenReilly1730 Sep 28 '22

Ben Reilly, he may seem like just a clone but he has always just wanted his own life away from being just a clone of Peter, sucks that they just keep treating him so terrible in the comics, just let him have a great and simple life. But, I guess it’s just the life of being Peter Parker/spider-man.

2

u/jaydrum Sep 28 '22

Static shock

2

u/laciisloud9 Sep 28 '22

Favorite villain - Dr doom easy

2

u/SimpyClyro Sep 28 '22

2

u/Greenage3338 Sep 28 '22

Spider-Man because web swinging through a city is dope as fuck

2

u/jaygood17 Sep 28 '22

Mystique

2

u/mall3p Sep 28 '22

My favorite hero is definitely Batman. I think that a lot of people resonate with his inner will and undying commitment to his moral code, definitely a cliche but nonetheless true aspect of my favorite caped boi!

2

u/Karajetzo Sep 28 '22

Wolverine

2

u/Zamaan12 Sep 28 '22

thanks for the chance

2

u/TheWhisperingEye Sep 28 '22

The Flash, because you can beat anything with that speed.

2

2

u/Bluechannie Sep 28 '22

Hawkeye because he is a normal person (with some crazy talent). At least we can be like Hawkeye… but we will never be Ironman nor Captain America..

I’m more realistic as I’m getting old…

2

u/Cryptan Sep 28 '22

Batman. He was the superhero that I grew up With.

Thanks for the giveaway! I've wanted to try this out

2

u/bossman-CT Sep 28 '22

Batman. Always loved him since the Dark Knight movies, then got heavy into the comics when I found out about new 52 in college.

2

u/NauseousPenguin Sep 28 '22

It's hard to say which is my absolute favorite of all time, but I have been getting into IDW's Sonic the Hedgehog run recently and really enjoyed Dr. Starline, a secondary antagonist who constantly uses his admiration (and later disillusionment) towards the main villain and a bunch of mental gymnastics as a smokescreen with which to ignore his own massive superiority complex.

Something about the exploration of his particular brand of narcissism as he digs himself into a deeper and deeper hole until he inevitably invites his own well-deserved failure was pretty interesting and cathartic, as I've known and even lived with similar people in my own life. That, and he was just an entertaining villain in general with a fun design and a "love to hate him"-worthy attitude.

2

u/Im-Not-NormMcdonald Sep 28 '22

Captain America because he has a history ripe for cool WW2 content

2

u/LordFrieza8789 Sep 28 '22

Definitely Solomon Grundy. The idea of an immortal rage zombie reciting a creepy nursery rhyme is amazing. Plus I love the Justice League animated version of him. That episode where he teams up with Hawkgirl is heartbreaking

2

u/hora_definitiva Sep 28 '22

Do Japanese comics count? I love Luffy from One Piece!

2

u/JoeVDS Sep 28 '22

Kratos. He kills Gods.

2

u/HeavensCriedBlood Sep 28 '22

My favorite comic protagonist is Sandman because he's very powerful in ways that make sense in fantasy settings. Other heroes are powerful, but their powers often feel tacked on. Sandman's abilities feel natural in his universe if that makes any sense. Show's good, the comics are better IMO.

2

u/10hrsAway Sep 28 '22

Deadpool, cause he's hilarious

2

u/zxmn1 Sep 28 '22

Spider-Man.

2

u/Carbs510 Sep 28 '22

2

u/Necrophagiac Sep 28 '22

Have always loved Ghost Rider...he fits so well with my own personal aesthetic.

2

2

u/kachowet69 Sep 28 '22

Daredevil because of the Netflix series!

2

u/homejib Sep 28 '22

Vermin (Spiderman villain), cuz no one ever knows who he is when I bring him up and he was a tortured/tragic character.

2

u/TheVideoGameNutt Sep 28 '22

Spider-Man because he’s relatable.

2

u/SalesTaxx Sep 28 '22

Nightwing because he’s like Batman and Spider-Man put together

2

u/fractalfondu Sep 28 '22

Swamp Thing because he is so different from normal superheroes…and he is the avatar of all plant life. That’s badass.

2

u/annathetravelbanana Sep 28 '22

I dont read comics but I really want to try the Spiderman game because it looks awesome and I watched the cartoons as a kid and loved it.

Soooo i will pick an anime/manga character instead! Killua from Hunter x Hunter, he's got a cool design and really dope abilities, super interesting backstory, lots of character development, and is super supportive of his trans sister so all in all best character in an anime imo.

2

u/kjloveless Sep 28 '22
