Guidelines for asking for help:

From our sidebar:

Just submit a picture (or pictures) of your room, a layout with measurements if possible, and we will help you redesign it! You can also specify your budget, location and what kind of room you want (eg. minimalist, etc.) to get help according to your taste!

Please if you use panorama or other effects, please include regular pics in your album. It's very hard to give suggestions when the space is hard to understand.

It is most helpful to include layouts with measurements to scale as well.

Your general geographic location (Europe? US? Etc) will help us if we are looking to help you find example items.

And budget.

You can also include if you are up for DIY, and be sure to check out our sidebar links. There are lots of helpful resources there.

This is the bathroom tile combo I’m working with in our rental. What colors would you pair with it? Peel and stick options over the tile are not an option as it’s too humid in our area.

Need Help Finding Matching Furniture

Upvotes

I recent moved into new apartment and ordered a desk (link in comments). I’ve been struggling to find a nightstand and dresser that I can pair with it.

I need the dresser to be able to have a 55” tv on top of it and I’d like the nightstand to have a drawer but it’s not a dealbreaker.

Please help I’m desperate lol

Kitchen is 11.5 wide. Is that too small to put cabinets/counter on both sides of the room? Right now there’s cabinets on one side with an island but the island is really only functional on one side and not much room behind the chairs.

Need help arranging my long living room!

Hi y'all!

Just moved in about a month ago and still trying to fill up this space..

I have an area rug and coffee table coming for the living room, and there is a TV cabinet and TV on the opposite side of the wall (not pictured).

  1. I'm not sure what to put in the area on the left of the couch (on the other side versus the dining area). I was thinking of having a console table and a mirror but that would still leave a lot of space actually..

  2. Should I have an area up for the dining room? I feel like it would get dirty easily, and makes it less smooth pull out the chairs, but at the same time might make the area feel more cozy.

  3. How would you arrange wall art in that long stretch of wall? I was considering maybe three picture frames above the sofa (arranged somewhat asymmetrically) or one longer horizontal one. For the dining room I had bought a set of 2 square framed abstract painting, but given that the wall is a pretty big space I might actually have to do a set of 4 paintings instead?

Appreciate your inputs!

Looking for a good color scheme

Location: CA, USA
I bought a sofa set sectional recently and kind of stuck with it. It's grey and I have a grey carpet that I'm also stuck with. I am currently planning a project to renovate my living space. I'll be repainting my wood furniture (dining table, tv stand), kitchen cabinets and the walls. Also, I'll have new floors installed (maybe a darker shade of wood, LVT planks). I'm looking for a color palette for my furniture, cabinets and walls. Any help/ideas appreciated!

You all did amazing work advising me on the wonky fireplace but what about the rest of the room? It's an awkward shape as the fireplace, study, backdoor all get in the way of placing furniture. More details in a comment. Thank you!

[EU] Advice for living area

I currently have my living area set up as shown in the floorplan. Measurements are in metric (m).

I'm not really happy with the layout though:

  • Couch is bigger than the one in the picture and blocks the ceiling to floor windows
  • Watching TV (mounted on the wall to the east) is suboptimal from current couch position, would prefer couch and TV to be vis-a-vis
  • Outlets are basically everywhere for flexible TV positioning

Floorplan

How would you set this area up? Thanks for your input in advance!
